Summary

A professional with 9+ years of experience in the educational field of Pharmacy. My keen interest in development and validation of modified analytical method to prove the quality of the pharmaceutical formulations, led me to pursue my PhD in Standardization of herbo-mineral formulations and its clinical evaluation. I have completed my B. Pharm and M. Pharm (Quality Assurance) from Sardar Patel University, Gujarat, India.
Presently working as an Assistant Professor at Parul Institute of Pharmacy and Research, Parul University, Waghodiya, Vadodara, Gujarat, India. Responsible for motivating students for Entrepreneurship and coordinating NAAC accreditation work. Experienced in handling of Pharmaceutical instrumentation, validation and Analysis of Formulation.
I believes there is a lot of research required to place Ayurvedic herbo-mineral formulation and natural medicine that can be a better cost effective alternative in treatment of many commonly caused human diseases and lifestyle disorders.

Professor Dr. Anamik Shah is working as a senior most faculty member at Department of Chemistry, Saurashtra University. The Department of Chemistry when established in 1979 under the stewardship of Professor V. M. Thakor, he was the first Ph.D. student from the department. 

After appointment as a faculty member at Saurashtra University in 1983, for last 29 years, Professor Anamik Shah is teaching Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, and Pharma Analytical Chemistry. 

Professor Shah is one of the Professors in the National University System to work on several industry-academic research projects. Research group of Prof. Shah has successfully worked on 14 National and International Research Projects.

Professor Shah is successfully running research programs of more than 8 crore of Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, National Institute of Health (NIH)-USA, Department of Biotechnology, Department of Atomic Energy, National Medicinal Plant Board - New Delhi, on diversified fields of medicinal chemistry research on anti HIV, anticancer and antitubercular drug discovery, preservation of molecular diversity, etc. He is currently President of Indian Society of Chemists and Biologists, Lucknow, where he has also served as Vice President during 2002 to 2010.

Professor Shah has pursued his degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Chemistry) in year 1983, Master of Science in year 1977, and Special LLB in year 1988. He is awarded by International Scientific Partnership Foundation, Russia, along with many others.

Professor Dr. Anamik Shah is working as a senior most faculty member at Department of Chemistry, Saurashtra University. The Department of Chemistry when established in 1979 under the stewardship of Professor V. M. Thakor, he has the Honour of being first Ph.D. scholar from the newly established department at Rajkot Campus. 

After appointment as a faculty member at Saurashtra University in 1983, for last 31 years, Professor Anamik Shah is teaching Organic, Medicinal, Environmental and Pharma Analytical Chemistry. 

Professor Anamik Shah is one of the academic researcher who pioneered industry-academic linkages, by working in several projects on Drug Discovery & also Process Chemistry with Alembic Ltd, Dabur Research Foundation, Claris life sciences, Astrazeneca, Specs biospecs, Net Nicolas Pirmal, Piramal Research Center, Zydus Research Center and etc. Prof. Shah has also successfully worked on 14 National and International Research Projects and several other project currently running under his ample guidance.


Professor Shah has initiated to create an unique facility "National Facility for Drug Discovery Complex" worth of Rs. 8 Crore under DST (DPRP) Project at separate building jointly funded by the Department of Science and technology (DST-DPRP) and Industries commissionerate Government of Gujarat, Gandhinagar and donated by noted philanthropist late Dr. Dipchand Gardi with the support of Saurashtra University authorities. 

Professor Shah has been granted a project of Rs. 13.19 Crore for the establishment of "Center of Excellence" at National Facility for Drug Discovery Complex. In addition to this he has several project from DST, DBT, CSIR, UGC, OSDD, MSMEs and other funding agencies. Moreover, Professor shah has  successfully run  research programs of more than 8 core of Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. Along with this he has also supervised project like National Institute of Health (NIH)-USA, Department of Atomic Energy, National Medicinal Plant Board - New Delhi, on diversified fields of medicinal chemistry research on anti HIV, anticancer and antitubercular drug discovery. He has also established unique facility for preservation of Molecular Diversity [FPMD] through flagship project. He is currently  a President of Indian Society of Chemists and Biologists, Lucknow, prior to that  he also served as Vice President during 2002 to 2010.
