Research activity in our group is focused on the use of synthetic organic chemistry to probe and solve biological problems. Current projects include the use of water as a reaction solvent and the use of catalytic and biocatalytic synthetic strategies. Also novel kinase inhibitors, cytosine-based hydrogen-bonding polymers and new lipid design for use in a ternary gene delivery vector.

Role and Responsibilities:
-New synthetic route identification.
-Development of non-infringing synthetic routes for Generic API’s and new chemical entities (NCE) with multiple-step chemistry and Scale-up varies therapeutic areas in a cost effective and environment friendly manner.
-Selection of cost effective suitable synthetic route for commercialization (Process research).
-Process optimization and process robustness demonstration from lab scale to commercial supplies (process development)
-Project leadership roles.
-Managing large team, team building, motivation and drive the team to achieve target.
Professional Experience:
-Complete project management includes heading a group of scientists working in various kind of projects (API, CCS)
-Providing sound technical proposals (chemistry selection, estimation of cost and timelines) & project plans for the custom synthesis and contract research for various clients.
-Responsible to meet the timeline for DMF filings as per business plan.
-Responsible for addressing the regulatory and business queries.
-Responsible for successful scale-up of technology at plant.
-Trouble shooting in Kilo lab/PP/Plant
-Identification of cost contributors and reduction of cost for better project margins and competitive advantage during the execution of projects.
