Mr. Ravi Raghavan is the Editor-Publisher of Chemical Weekly, India’s largest news magazine for the chemical industry. Being the Editor-Publisher for Chemical Weekly he has a wide understanding of the complexities of India’s chemical industry. He has done extensive reporting and editing of activities in the chemical industry, he has presented papers at numerous international conferences in Europe, Asia-Pacific and China on various aspects of the chemical business in India, and has traveled extensively in Germany, Switzerland, United States, China, South East Asia to cover developments in the global chemical industry.
Mr. Raghavan is currently the director of Chemical Weekly Database P. Ltd. & Chemspec India P. Ltd. As a director of Chemical Weekly Database, he has strategised business plans focused on providing information services to the chemical industry; headed developed team that delivered the first electronic database on chemical producers in India, he has formulated strategies for ChemicalWeekly.com – India’s leading website for the chemical industry and heads a team of researchers that provide market assessment and entry level strategies for companies looking to invest in the Indian chemical industry. As a director for Chemspec India P. Ltd. he has formulated and headed implementation team for Chemspec India – international exhibitions for the fine chemical industry.
Mr. Raghavan is M.S. Polymer Science and has done NMR Studies of deuterated polymers from Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA (USA). He has done B.Sc (Technology) in Plastics Technology from the Bombay University Dept. of Chemical Technology and also done B.Sc Chemistry from the Ramnarain Ruia College, Bombay University. He is a Honorary Fellow of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers & a Distinguished Alumnus of Bombay University Dept. of Chemical Technology.
