Over the course of my 20+ year career as an interdisciplinary and multicultural university educator, social scientist, marketer, entrepreneur and administrator, I have directed organizations, programs and initiatives that promote academic excellence, improve student performance, and strengthen educational outcomes. The Coalition hopes to change societies view to celebrate the journey of aging. --Improve access to information about long-term care services (including residential and support services, education, training, and employment) and availability so that people can make informed choices.--Increase awareness and knowledge at all levels of society about aging, long-term care and supportive services.--Provide education and training to long-term care caregivers in both informal home-based and formal professional situations.--Develop, implement, and sustain an organized long-term care infrastructure for Maui Island that matches the communitys needs and preferences.--Develop a construct and prospectus for a Center for Excellence on Aging that would include workforce development in all areas of health care.2005 - 2012Designed/taught credit courses in Sociology, Marketing, History, Entrepreneurship, Labor Relations, Organizational Behavior, and International Business online to 500+ students. Researched desirability of establishing Hospice services unit in a 400 bed rehabilitation services hospital. Submitted proposal and funding request under Title 18 & 19 of HCFA regulations and Article 28 of New York State Health Code. Formulated research design and business plan for "Nursing Home without Walls program for funding under Article 28. Received funding for the establishment of outpatient Long Term Home Health Care Services for up to 200 patients.Information Technology System, Metropolitan New York Health Facilities Association. Funded by the association to design an IT system for the management of medical care and pharmaceutical services in 150 long-term care facilities.Quality Assurance Program, Kingsbridge Heights Health Facilities.
