Upendra
Sharma studied chemistry at Guru NankDev University, Amritsar (India)
until 2005, and subsequently obtained a PhD degree in organic chemistry
with Dr Bikram Singh, Chief Scientist, CSIR–IHBT, Palampur. In the fall
of 2012, he joined Prof. D. Maiti at IIT Bombay as Young Scientist. His
research interests involve metal-catalyzed selective C–H activation and
natural product synthesis.\
