Dr. Varsha R. Jumde
After a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Organic Chemistry, (2006-2008), at Nowrosjee Wadia College, Pune University, Pune, (M.S.), India, Varsha joined the University of Pisa where she got the Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences, (2010-2012), working on “Bile acid derived monophosphite ligands: new tools for asymmetric catalysis” at Dipartimento di Chimica e Chimica Industriale, Università di Pisa, Pisa.
In 2013 she won a post-doc position in the group (assegno di ricerca) to work on the development of new metal catalysts for more sustainable chemical transformations.
Research Interests: Synthesis of enantiomerically pure compounds. Organometallic catalysis in red-ox processes
