Basvoju A Bhanu Prasad obtained his B.Sc from Lal Bahadur college, Warangal then moved to the University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad to persue his M. Sc and M. Phil in general chemistry. Before coming to the University of California, Berkeley as post doc in Professor Richmond Sarpongs group in August 2004, he worked for Ph.D degree at IIT Kanpur, India under the supervision of Professor Vinod K. Singh.
